Dr. Townsend was born and raised
in Louisville, KY. His father was a Radiologist,
and his grandfather was a Dentist. He graduated
from Eastern High School and continued his education
at the University of Kentucky. He graduated from
the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry
in 1973.
After
a tour in the United States Air Force, he returned
home and began practicing Dentistry in LaGrange, Middletown
and St. Matthews. In October of 1978 he opened his
office in Anchorage, KY, (where he grew up) on Evergreen
Road.
In
April of 2000 he moved the office to its present location,
12907 Factory Lane, at the corner of LaGrange Road
and Chamberlain Lane.
Dr.
Townsend is a member of the American Dental Association,
Kentucky Dental Association, American Academy of Orthodontics,
Southern Association of Institutional Dentists and
the Southern Academy of Prosthodontics.
Dr.
Townsend is married to his high school sweetheart,
Peggy Davis. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
